Driver killed after crashing into parked vehicle, tree in Racine

RACINE — Racine police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred near 12th and Valley Drive Saturday morning, February 13. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Accident Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7816. The 24-year-old driver succumbed to injuries earlier this morning. Police say a 24-year-old man was driving east on 12th Street in the 1900 block, when the vehicle struck an unoccupied, legally parked vehicle. The 24-year-old driver was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Emergency by the Racine Fire Department, and subsequently transferred to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee via Flight for Life.
