Seven people were injured, two of whom were flown to a hospital by helicopter, in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Dane County, the sheriff's office reported.

Seven people were injured, two of whom were flown to a hospital by helicopter, in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Dane County, the sheriff's office reported.

The crash was reported shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Highway P and Highway K in the Town of Springfield, according to a news release from the Dane County sheriff's office.

According to the release, the driver of a vehicle with five passengers was westbound on Highway K, ran a stop sign and collided with a vehicle with a lone occupant headed south on Highway P.

All seven were injured and taken to a hospital, two by helicopters and five by ambulances, according to the release.

The injuries of the five taken by ambulance were not life-threatening. Information on the severity of the injuries of the other two was not available late Friday, the sheriff's office said.
