The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the southbound lane of Highway 13 was closed down because of the crash.

Marathon County sheriff's officials say two vehicles collided on Highway 13 in the town of Spencer Wednesday about 5 p.m.

"On a software program that they have so it's completely and accurately measured and there after they will make determinations from damages on the vehicles how it may have exactly occurred," said Lt. Fred Goch of the Marathon County Sheriff's Department.
At around 5:00pm, two cars driving in opposite directions on Highway 13 crashed, likely in a head-on or nearly head-on collision. Details about the crash and victims are scarce, but so far it has been confirmed that two men, one from each vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene, while one woman was pronounced dead after being brought to a hospital.
