Blown tire on tractor-trailer blamed for fatal Cheyenne crash

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is blaming a blown tire on a tractor-trailer for an accident that killed three people in a three-vehicle crash east of Cheyenne.

A tractor-trailer crossed the median and crashed into two minivans in the opposite lanes of Interstate 80 on Saturday afternoon. 44-year-old James Ednie and one of his passengers, 41-year-old Tanya Gooden, both of Cheyenne, were in the second minivan that was hit and were killed in the crash. Another of Ednie's passengers, 23-year-old Cameron Gooden, died the next day. Two people in the tractor-trailer and one person in the first minivan that was struck sustained minor injured.
