A 28-year-old Grayling man is dead after his car went off the road Saturday morning. Around 2:30 a.m., Muskegon Township officers were called out to South Mill Iron Road just south of Apple Ave. They found a single vehicle that went off the road and crashed. The passenger of the vehicle was out of the vehicle and spoke to emergency responders. The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old Grayling man, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe the vehicle was going south on Mill Iron Road when it left the road and struck several trees. Alcohol and spe

A woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in Lyons after running through a stop sign and crashing into truck, police said. Oregon State Police said the 54-year-old woman was traveling at high speeds northbound on Oregon 226 and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Oregon 22. The car then traveled through the T-intersection, crashed through a guardrail and flew about 70 feet before crashing into a truck parked in a meat market parking lot. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are still investigating the crash.

A crash in Lamar County early Sunday morning killed three teenagers and sent five others to hospitals. The Department of Public Safety said the pickup carrying eight people had just crossed over the Pat Mayse Lake dam on Highway 906, north of Paris and just south of the Oklahoma border. Troopers said the 2005 Chevrolet truck was speeding when it left the road, hit some trees and landed in a ditch. The male driver and two female passengers were killed. A man who crashed his car into a house Thursday evening is accused of driving the wrong way down another street minutes earlier — all while being “extremely impaired.” Burlington police were searching for the 1994 Honda Accord driven by Mario O’Keith Strayhorn, 22, of Roslyn Drive, after it struck another car while going the wrong way down Fisher Street.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a serious crash on State Road 16 in the area of Lewis Speedway. A spokesman with FHP said two SUVs struck each other head-on around 10 p.m. Friday. Police said an SUV was traveling east on SR-16 at a high speed when it hit a curb, lost control and crossed over into oncoming traffic. Two occupants in that SUV, James Hamlin, 30, and Terresa Tomlinson, 58, were airlifted to UF Health in Jacksonville in serious condition.

Thursday night, two cars hit head-on along Fifth Avenue in White Oak, killing both drivers. Police said Michael Bakosh was driving south towards McKeesport -- speeding, and weaving in and out of traffic. Investigators said he crossed four lanes of traffic and hit a 45-year-old woman head-on, killing her. A friend of one of the drivers, said the tragic accident could have been avoided. A friend was with Bakosh a couple hours before his friend died.

The Anderson Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that occurred late Thursday night. According to a release from the Anderson Police Department, the crash occurred in the 1400 block of Main Street just before 11:30 p.m. Police officials say the driver of the 2011 Chevy Cruz was traveling at a high rate of speed the wrong way on Main Street prior to crashing the car into a rail road crossing arm.

Authorities have released the names of the two people who were killed when their vehicles collided head-on while traveling on a Hudson Valley road last weekend. Police in the Ulster County town of Lloyd tell local media outlets that the victims have been identified as 51-year-old Tracey Krug of Plattekill and 50-year-old Wayne Donaldson of Highland.

A suspected drunken driver has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter in the death of a 27-year-old woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Del Mar, authorities said Saturday. Rachel Anne Morrison and a friend were walking eastbound in a crosswalk at the intersection of Camino Del Mar and Coast Boulevard about 10:15 p.m. Friday when Christopher Stockmeyer, 41, allegedly ran a stop sign and struck her at a high rate of speed, according to sheriff's officials and the county Medical Examiner's Office.

A bicyclist was critically injured in a collision with a car in Northeast Portland Thursday evening, police said. Officers were called just before 8 p.m. to the crash at Northeast Killingsworth Street and Cully Boulevard. Police and medical responders at the scene found 24-year-old Ryan Egge suffering from traumatic injuries, said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
