The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Putnam County involving a dirt bike.

57-year-old Michael Wilber was killed in a crash on Tuesday around 9 p.m. on State Road 20, just west of Kitty Lane according to FHP.

For unknown reasons, patrol officers said Wilber had his Suzuki dirt bike stopped in the westbound travel lane of State Road 20, west of Kitty Lane.

Timothy Buchner, 59, driving a Merc Villager SUV, was traveling west on State Road 20, when he collided with the dirt bike.

A motorcyclist died in a traffic crash late Tuesday night near Interstate 10 in east Harris County.

The wreck occurred about 10:45 p.m. in the 16600 block of Market Street near the East Freeway, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the motorcyclist was riding a 2013 KTM westbound on Market, failed to drive in a single lane of traffic and crossed into the opposing traffic lane. The motorcycle toppled onto its side and slid along the roadway.

A 16-year-old student driver and his driving instructor died today in a two-vehicle crash south of Whitehouse.

Joseph A. Franks, 16, of Swanton and Thomas P. Smith, 48, a driving instructor with Key Driving School, Inc. who lived in Whitehouse, were pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:29 p.m. crash at Heller and Neapolis-Waterville roads in Waterville Township.

Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle who investigators with the Delray Beach Police Department said hit a 20-year-old woman while she was rollerblading along Atlantic Avenue. Detectives said the collision between car and person happened on Tuesday morning around 1:00 a.m. on the west side of the Intracoastal bridge. Witnesses said while taking a breather on the Atlantic Avenue intra-coastal bridge with friends, Bucala was hit from behind by a car. The driver then sped off in the direction of downtown.

A man was killed Tuesday evening after his motorcycle collided with a van in downtown Anchorage, according to police. Police said the crash was reported at 6:01 p.m. Officers and medics responded to the intersection of West Eighth Avenue and C Street. The man, later identified as Robert Firlan, 27, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Jennifer Castro, police spokeswoman.

Two people are dead after a head-on collision on Highway 35 about two miles south of Stoddard near Riverview Court in the Town of Bergen, according to Vernon County Sheriff John Spears. Sheriff Spears said a northbound vehicle, driven by 70-year-old Robert M. Williams of Stoddard, went to pass a vehicle in front of him and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Margaret L. Springborn of rural DeSoto. The crash happened at about 3:20 p.m. Springborn was transported to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse where she was later pronounced dead.

Two men were injured Tuesday in a helicopter crash in Garfield County. Sometime in the early afternoon, a U.S. Department of Agriculture helicopter went down in the southeast region of the county, according to Garfield County sheriff's spokeswoman Cheryl Church. One man was transported via helicopter to a hospital for injuries that were serious, Church said. Another man was treated for injuries that were not as extensive. The conditions of the two men and the cause of the crash were not known Tuesday

A Camas man was hospitalized after a Monday afternoon crash on southbound Interstate 205 in Vancouver. Danny Eastham, 63, was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on state Highway 14 and took the ramp to get onto I-205 south, according to the Washington State Patrol. He entered the turn too quickly and the motorcycle frame brushed the pavement, causing Eastham to lose control of the motorcycle. He was ejected from the bike. Both Eastham and his motorcycle came to rest in a grassy area near two freeway ramps from Highway 14.

A bride-to-be was killed and her fiance was injured Monday night in an accident in Meriwether County.

It happened around 7:15 p.m. on I-85 at mile marker 33.

John Redman, 23, of Dalton, was driving a Lexus southbound when he lost control of the vehicle, traveled into the median and hit a bridge abutment.

The passenger in the vehicle, Brittany Marie Huber, 25, of Mobile, AL, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Redman was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with serious injuries.

The couple was on their way to Mobile where they were to be married on Saturday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says blowing dust caused an accident that killed a man in central Kansas.

Brandon H. Stein, 30, of Great Bend, died Monday afternoon in an accident on U.S. 56 about seven miles west of Great Bend.

The patrol said Stein’s vehicle collided with the trailer of a semi-trailer truck that had stopped in the eastbound lanes of the highway because of visibility problems caused by the dust and other accidents.
