Ashley Spaulding, 17, Sierra Lindamood, 17, Dalton Williams, 19, seriously injured in two car crash.
Three teens were injured in a two-car crash late Thursday.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office said Ashley Spaulding, 17, of Trenton, was driving a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire southbound on Jacksonburg Road just south of Taylor School Road at around 10 p.m.
Deputies said that as Spaulding attempted to pass a vehicle, she apparently lost control, and her car began swerving, eventually sliding sideways across both lanes of traffic.
The Sunfire then collided with a northbound 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Dalton Williams, 19, of Trenton.
The first hit-and-run happened in Queens at around 4:30 a.m. when Enrique Clemente-Ovando, 29, of Elmhurst, was struck and killed about a mile from his home, according to cops. The driver fled the crash in a beige Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania plates, police said. Cops said the car was traveling east on Astoria Blvd. when it struck Clemente-Ovando, who was attempting to cross the road near 31st Ave.
Wadesboro Police are investigating a deadly Christmas Day crash.
Investigators say a Volkswagon driving westbound on Highway 74 in Anson County crossed the line and hit a Dodge Intrepid going eastbound head-on at about 4:01 p.m. Several people were hurt and a baby died.
According to Wadesboro Police, the Hooper family was in the Volkswagon, heading back home to Gaston County after a holiday get-together in Hamlet.
