Authorities on Wednesday released the identities of two men killed in separate crashes in Milwaukee that involved vehicles hitting trees.

Marcus L. Smith, 35, of Milwaukee was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee that lost control on N. 60th St. near W. Florist Ave. and hit a tree.

The crash occurred about 4:15 a.m. Sunday, and it's thought that Smith was speeding and possibly hit a patch of ice before striking the tree, according to reports released by the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office.

A Florida woman is facing DUI and drug possession charges after she was involved in a crash just two days after she was released from a detox facility, authorities said.

Briana Mary Donaghy, 19, was arrested early Sunday on one count of DUI, five counts of DUI property damage/personal injury and one count of marijuana possession, according to a Florida Highway Patrol arrest report.

Donaghy rear-ended a Dodge Charger while driving her Mercedes, sending both cars into some shrubbery on the shoulder of a road in Marco Island, the report said.

An Indiana County woman was killed late Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash north of Indiana, Pa.

Mary Jo Scott, 60, of Indiana, was driving south on Route 119 a half-mile south of Chambersville Road in Rayne when she lost control of her Pontiac Sunfire shortly after 11:15 p.m., according to a press release from the Indiana County coroner's office.

Ms. Scott, who was not wearing a seatbelt, crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, the coroner's office said. She died instantly at the scene.

A late night rollover accident sends two people to the hospital with injuries. Emergency crews filled the Rosa Parks Way intersection, rescuing a man from his mangled truck after a serious rollover.

It happened at the intersection of Hwy 77 and Rosa Parks Way just before midnight on Sunday.

During an initial investigation, officials said the truck was westbound on Rosa Parks Way when it clipped another vehicle. They said that's when it rolled multiple times, landing on all four wheels in the middle of the street.

A Waterloo crash killed a Garwin man and injured another.

Emergency workers rushed to the intersection of West 6th Street and Commercial Street at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Scott Thomson, 55, of Garwin turned into the path of 34-year-old Tavious Jenkins' pick-up. The pick-up pushed Thomson's vehicle into a utility pole.

The crash killed Thomson and left Jenkins with minor injuries.

Investigators are still looking into the cause.

A Davidson County woman is accused of trying to bribe a Metro officer to get out of a DUI charge after police say she crashed her car into a golf cart on Broadway.

The crash happened near 1st Avenue on Sunday.

Police say the woman behind the wheel of the car was honking and flipped the bird at the men in the golf cart before hitting the accelerator, crashing into them.

The driver, Janice Merrick, was given several DUI tests.

Police say the 59-year-old was so drunk that she could not walk or stand straight.

Authorities have identified a man and woman who were killed when the speeding car they were in hit several parked vehicles, flipped over and landed in backyard.

Driver Hector Manzo, 23, and passenger Georgina Gallegos, 33, were killed when the vehicle struck two cars and slammed through a concrete wall into a families backyard.

Authorities responded to the crash at East and South streets in Anaheim around 10 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

Police have identified the teenager killed in a crash on Interstate 275 Sunday evening.

Officers said 41-year-old Larry Molloy of Cincinnati was driving 80 mph in a 65 mph zone when his sport utility vehicle hit a wall near Kellogg Avenue and rolled several times.

Damien Henderson, 16, was thrown from the vehicle and later died at Anderson Mercy Hospital, deputies said.

According to the crash report, Henderson was not wearing his seat belt.

A 41-year-old man was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash that caused his car to slam into a Duquesne apartment building.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the man as Parrish Parker, of Duquesne.

Duquesne police said Mr. Parker was the driver of a vehicle that stopped around 9:30 p.m. for oncoming traffic near the 200 block of North Second Street and Route 837.

Police say an out-of-control car crashed into a gasoline station in an eastern Indiana city, starting a fire and injuring four people.

Richmond police Sgt. Dean Snapp says the car knocked over a pole supporting the protective canopy at a Speedway station, struck two pumps and hit another car being fueled.

The two pumps burst into flames after the crash early Sunday. A Fire Battalion Chief stated that crews quickly extinguished the blaze.

Snapp says two passengers were ejected from the car that crashed, while crews had to free the driver from the wreckage.
