For the first time since the Friday accident, we're seeing dash cam video of an officer being forced to jump about 30 feet off a bridge to safety.

The camera was rolling just after midnight in the 7200 block of State Highway 6 when Officer Kenneth Lewis and his partner were making a traffic stop.

As the other officer was explaining why the driver was being pulled over, you can hear screeching and then see the patrol car being forced forward.

Family members of a Lemont Township native who’d hoped to celebrate his college graduation this weekend are instead mourning his death in a motorcycle crash.
30-year-old Paul Davidson was about to graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in architecture.
In fact, he was celebrating with his father Paul Jr. and other family members on Friday night.

A longtime adviser to Texas Gov. Rick Perry was in critical condition Saturday at a hospital in Central Texas after a motorcycle crash.

The Austin American-Statesman reports Jay& Kimbrough crashed his motorcycle around 6 p.m. Friday.

The newspaper reported that Trooper Jessie Jordan, a Department of Public Safety investigator, said witnesses told police that Kimbrough was driving his Harley-Davidson on the grassy median between Highway 6 south of Navasota, Texas.

Authorities have identified the victims involved in a deadly motorcycle crash.
The wreck happened Friday afternoon on Highway 431 near Merritt Drive in New Hope.
Police said a motorcycle collided with a Toyota Camry after the bike pulled out from a local business. Both people on the motorcycle were killed.

A 60-year-old Waggaman's man was killed Friday evening in St. Charles Parish after authorities say his motorcycle collided with an 18-wheeler on River Road near Airport Lane.

According to the Louisiana State Police, William Ziebel apparently crossed the center lane as he was traveling west on River Road shortly after 5 p.m. and struck the front of a 2012 Freightliner driven by Russell Mason, 61, of Marrero.

Ziebel was critically injured and was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says one man is dead following a car crash Friday morning on U.S. 24 near Fowler.
Sheriff Brent Fischer says Jerry L. Robbins, 66, of Fowler, Illinois, was eastbound when he crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle driven by Bryan W. Dralle, 51, of Coatsburg.

Fischer says Robbins crossed the center line to avoid two cars parked on the side of the road. Dralle's car rolled to the north side of the ride and struck one of those vehicles, driven by Christopher J. Gandara.

Vic Nicastro Highway officers investigate a fatal accident on the northbound Clearview Expressway in Bayside.
A 51-year-old Queens woman was killed Friday when her car slammed into the back of a tow truck parked on the shoulder of the Clearview Expressway, officials said.

Ingrid Arcuik, was driving a 2007 Dodge north on the Clearview Expressway near 58th Ave. in Bayside at about 12:30 p.m., when her car veered to the right and struck a Peterbilt tow truck, officials said. She died at the scene.

A 29-year-old Clearwater man died Friday night from injuries sustained in a vehicle vs. bicycle crash on Tampa Rd. in Oldsmar.

Vitalii Karpenko was pronounced dead at the scene just before 10 p.m.

According to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office report 53-year-old William Cowan of Tampa was exiting a driveway at 3689 Tampa Rd. in his 2011 Dodge Ram pick-up truck and was attempting to access to the westbound lane of the roadway. Karpenko was riding his bike east on the north sidewalk when Cowan accelerated and the truck struck him.

A 9-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition Friday evening after being hit by a vehicle.

Police responded to the scene about 6:45 p.m. in the 6500 block of S Cox Avenue in Valley Brook.

EMSA spokeswoman Lara O’Leary said the child was taken to OU Medical Center in critical condition.
