A man riding a moped, described as a white male in mid to late 50s, died following a collision with a pickup truck. The incident occured in Tequesta, Florida at Tequesta Drive and US 1 just after 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Carl Timm, 39, of Richardson, Texas, died early Wednesday morning when he attempted to cross a state highway intersection and a car crashed into him, then crashed into an ambulance. The incident occured in Newark, Delaware around 1:00 a.m. on October 15. Timm did not use a crosswalk when crossing, and police believe he may have been drinking. Moses Tamba, 30, who drove the car, did not receive injuries. Those in the ambulance were also uninjured.
The crash on southbound I-280 in San Jose occurred at around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday when BMW spun out and then a truck carrying portable toilets struck it, as did several other vehicles. Luckily, the toilets on the truck were not carrying sewage at the time of the crash but did contain dozens of gallons of blue deodorizer that spilled. All reported injuries appeared to be minor.
Five children and two adults were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning following a car crash in Adamsville, Alabama. The incident occured around 8:00 a.m. on October 15 at the 2200 block of Minor Parkway, near Minor High School, when the vehicle went off the road, was overcorrected, and flipped. The occupants of the car were ejected. The identity and conditions of the victims has not been released.
A Spring Hill man, Gary Alan Hetman, 49, died Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run accident in Holiday, Florida. The accident occured on U.S. 19 and Mile Stretch Drive, where Hetman walked west across U.S. 19 when he was hit by a southbound driver. Hetman was declared dead at the scene. A red BMW is possibly involved in the crash.
