Ft. Myers-Naples, FLTwo children have serious injuries after crashing their all-terrain vehicle in southwest Florida.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 9-year-old Angela Wright was driving the ATV when it crashed Sunday afternoon in Lehigh Acres.
Troopers say the ATV flipped over as it approached a telephone pole in a grassy area.
According to a crash report, both the girl and her 16-year-old passenger Kyle Pilgrim were thrown off the ATV in the crash. Troopers say the teenager struck the telephone pole after being ejected, and the ATV struck the 9-year-old after she was thrown off.

Saturday, February 22, 2014Homicide-by-vehicle charges have been filed against a Lancaster man following a three-vehicle crash Saturday.
According to reports, Carlos R. Garcia, 33, has been charged with homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, accidents involving death while not properly licensed, endangering the welfare of children, reckless driving and driving while under suspension – DUI related.
Reports indicate the crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. Saturday on the 1300 block of E. King St., Lancaster, when Garcia struck the rear of another vehicle.

Saturday, February 22, 2014After getting involved in a crash Sunday at the intersection of Hypoluxo and Thompson roads in Boynton Beach, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies told Catelyn Kirchner that her car would be towed following an inventory search of the vehicle.
Before deputies conducted the search, Kirchner told them there was a Xanax pill inside the car, according to a probable cause affidavit. Kirchner said she had a prescription for the narcotic.
When a deputy searched the car, they found more than a pill.

Riverside, CADrunk driving is believed to be the cause of a deadly wrong-way crash involving three vehicles in the Winchester area of Riverside County Saturday night.
The fatal incident occurred at the intersection of Leon Road and Domenigoni Parkway around 10:10 p.m.
Gerardo Cornejo, 20, of Nuevo was driving a 1994 Honda Civic westbound in the eastbound lane when he slammed head-on into a 2007 Suzuki RX4. That's when the 20-year-old spun around, and was hit by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Friday, February 21, 2014A multiple car crash on I-95 Saturday night in Delray Beach injured six people, four of whom were hurt seriously enough to go to the hospital, and was followed almost immediately by a second crash that had rescuers returning to the scene. Two people were injured in the second crash and taken to the hospital in stable condition. According to Delray Beach Fire Rescue, the first crash happened at 11:11 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Linton Boulevard.

Thursday, February 20, 2014At least seven children were taken to the hospital after a bus accident in Berkshire Friday, but police say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
Vermont State Police say they were called to the accident on Potato Hill Rd. just before 4 p.m., where they found the bus partially on its side.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA crash involving a daycare van sent several children to Pasco hospitals.
It happened on State Road 56 at the intersection with Mansfield Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of the Kids-R-Kids daycare van tried to make a left turn onto Mansfield Boulevard, and drove into the path of another vehicle.
That vehicle hit the van, which fell over onto its side.
Twenty-four children were on board the van at the time of the crash. Troopers say eight children had minor injuries, and two were taken to area hospitals for evaluation.

Jacksonville, FLThe Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck early Friday morning involving a church van on the U.S. 90 ramp to Interstate 75. Columbia County Fire-Rescue reported that two adults, later identified as Jeff Novak, 52, and Michalanne Salliotte, 42, were killed and three children were injured, one of them critically.
The van crashed about 8:20 a.m. when a tire blew out and the vehicle overturned. The driver and the second adult victim were thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. It wasn't clear of they were wearing seat belts.

Memphis, TNA Wednesday morning school bus accident sent 18 people including students to Memphis hospitals. The crash happened at Winchester Road and South Goodlett Street, near Lamar Avenue.
Memphis Fire Department says at least five ambulances were called to the accident that happened just before. 7 a.m.
Students that were hurt had minor injuries and were taken to hospitals, including Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
