A crash involving a single vehicle killed a woman from New Jersey on Friday. Officials say the accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 83 North in Monaghan Township, York County. The York County Coroner's Office says 73-year-old Carman Medina was transported from the scene and later died of her injuries at York Hospital. Pennsylvania State Police and the York County Coroners Office continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

Drowning was the cause of death of a woman who drove her SUV into Fall Creek on Friday morning, according to an autopsy today. The Marion County coroner’s office ruled that Miranda Dermanelian, 25, Indianapolis, died of asphyxia due to drowning, according to a news release today from the Division of Law Enforcement of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Dermanelian’s vehicle was headed south on Allisonville Road near Binford Boulevard when it ran a red light and then left the roadway at about 8:06 a.m., according to Capt. Rita Reith of the Indianapolis Fire Department.

Frederick County police say a man is facing charges after he tried to drive his pick-up truck around railroad crossing gates and was struck by a MARC train. It happened Friday at about 5:30 p.m. at E. South Street and the CSX railroad tracks near Hamilton Avenue. Police say the train hit the truck and spun it into a pole. The driver, Frederick Dell Jackson, fled. Police say Jackson, who was later located, was driving on a suspended Georgia license and that he was charged with several offenses related to the crash.

Two people died in a crash Friday just after 12:30 a.m. in Boerne, according to the Boerne Police Department. The crash occurred after a call came in for a wrong-way driver at the 540 mile marker of Interstate 10, according to police. Three helicopter ambulances were called to the scene, according to police. Mary Hodsdon, 21, was one of the people who died, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner's office. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating.

Christopher Jewsbury, 50, of Spokane, was westbound in a pickup truck about 5:15 p.m. when he crossed the centerline and sideswiped an eastbound Chevy Trailblazer driven by David Oakes, 61, of Olympia, according to the ISP. Jewsbury then crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Amy Brady, of Newport, who was behind Oakes. Brady, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jewsbury was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. He was not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash is being investigated, the ISP said.

An 8-year-old girl was hit by an unlicensed driver near Horrall Elementary School in San Mateo Friday morning, according to police. The driver, a 38-year-old San Mateo resident, struck the girl with a gold Toyota Corolla in the 900 block of Ocean View Avenue at about 7:40 a.m. The girl was alert and talking when she was taken to a hospital and her injuries were not considered life threatening, police said. The driver was cited for driving without a license and released. Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the collision.

A 46-year-old man was airlifted to a Minneapolis hospital after his truck collided with a Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train around 2 p.m. Friday south of Granite Falls. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Department said the man’s condition was unknown. His identity was being withheld pending notification of family. The injured man was driving a FedEx delivery truck when the collision occurred at the intersection with Yellow Medicine County Road 39. The conductor and engineer were the only people on the train. Both were uninjured.

The man killed in an Everett crash Thursday night has been identified as Paul S. Linari, 21, of Everett, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. A man was killed in a crash Thursday night into a guardrail in Everett, and another man from the vehicle tried to run away. Police tracked him down and detained him for questioning. A woman was injured in the crash and treated at a hospital. Police say the dead man was found in the road after the crash and died at the scene. The other man ran off as officers arrived. He was found in a search of the area.

A 52-year-old woman was killed in a crash that took place on Lewisberry Road earlier Friday afternoon in Monaghan Township, according to the York County Coroner. The crash was reported on Lewisberry Road near Mowery Road toward 2:19 p.m. Friday, according to York County's 911 live incident status website. The crash was also reported as an ejection, but no further details were available as of Friday afternoon. Gay was not releasing the name of the woman as of 5 p.m.

A Stigler man died in a crash Thursday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. The crash was about 5 p.m. on State Highway 71 northbound 1.3 miles south of Enterprise in Haskell County, the patrol reports. Joe Kolar, 67, was dead at the scene. Kolar was driving a sport utility vehicle when he went off the roadway and rolled down an embankment. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.
