Two police officers remain hospitalized after a drunk driver slammed into their cruiser at 43rd & The Paseo Sunday night. Emergency crews had to cut the officers out of their vehicle.

The driver who crashed into the police cruiser had a blood alcohol level of .17, which is more than double the legal limit when he was arrested and taken in for questioning.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. as the officers were backing up another crew on a traffic stop.

A head-on crash between a car and truck on East Waterloo right by Donzell's Flower and Garden Center in Akron has put three people in the hospital. The crash happened around 11 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Akron police, the driver of a Ford F-250 went left of center while driving eastbound on East Waterloo just before South Arlington. It hit a Hyundai head-on and drove over top of the car before rolling over. The truck came to rest after hitting the Donzell's business sign.

At least three people were stung by a swarm of bees following a traffic accident in La Canada Flintridge Sunday. Two of the three victims were hospitalized.

The incident occured following a two-vehicle accident on the 2000 block of Los Amigos Street around 2:45 p.m.

Police say one of the cars involved in the collision hit a tree. That's when the a limb on the tree broke, and hit a bee hive.

Both drivers were stung. Police say one of the victims was stung 50 times, and the other possibly up to 500 times. Both were rushed to Verdugo Hills Hospital.

A pickup driver died Sunday after the vehicle went off the road in Beaver County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 10:45 a.m., Rodney Allen Ohair, 57, of Laverne, was eastbound on a Beaver County road about 5 miles west of Laverne. The pickup went off the road in a curve and rolled, troopers said.

Ohair, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, troopers said.

A motorcyclist died Sunday in a crash with a car in Brooklyn, officials said.

Jorge Rios, 47, was riding his 2001 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Manhattan Ave. in Greenpoint when he struck a 2007 Lexus near Green St. at 4 p.m., cops said.

Rios was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he died, cops said.

The driver of the vehicle, a 71-year-old man, spoke to police at the scene and is not expected to face criminal charges, cops said.

The driver of a speeding Monte Carlo that nearly struck a State Police car on Niagara Falls Boulevard early this morning was killed when his car rammed the back of another vehicle at 56th Street in Niagara Falls minutes later.

State Police said that shortly before 5 a.m., their patrols monitored a radio transmission from Niagara Falls police that a vehicle was speeding eastbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard without its headlights on. Almost immediately, a State trooper had to take evasive action to avoid the Monte Carlo, which was described as an older model.

A woman is in custody for suspected intoxication manslaughter after a man was killed in a crash around 5:13 a.m. Sunday near W. Pipeline Road and Westpark Way.

The man has been identified as 20-year-old Brandon Bennett of Hurst.

Bennett died at 7:00 a.m. from the injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website.

Bennett had been taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital of Hurst-Euless-Bedford. Records indicate he died in the hospital’s emergency room.

Three people were injured when a pickup truck and sedan collided on Backus Avenue in Danbury on Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.

Firefighters said the crash happened in the area of 26 Backus Avenue.

According to fire officials, the driver of the sedan received cuts and scraped, the female passenger was extricated and a backseat passenger did not seem to be injured.

Two people in the truck received minor injuries and were out and walking when authorities arrived on scene.

Authorities said an Alton man died after crashing into a traffic light Saturday morning.

Police said the accident occurred close to 2:20 a.m. at the intersection of Homer Adams Parkway and Seminary Road in Alton. Authorities said 28-year-old Kenneth Johnson Jr. was driving a Chevy Trail Blazer at a high rate of speed on the Homer Adams Parkway when he lost control causing his car to hit a traffic light and then flip over.

A 35-year-old man was killed Sunday when his car crashed into a tree on Milwaukee's north side, police said.

The man was driving in the 5900 block of N. 60th St. at 4:15 a.m. when he lost control of the 1998 Jeep he was driving and hit the tree, police said.

Speed appears to be a contributing factor, police said. Milwaukee police are waiting for the Milwaukee County medical examiner's report to determine if alcohol also played a role.
