Friday, June 13, 2014Police are investigating the death of a woman from Cahokia after she crashed her vehicle Saturday afternoon. Authorities say Brittany Allred, 25, was driving northbound on North Liberty Road in Jarvis Township near Troy, Illinois when her Ford Explorer veered off the road and hit an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times. Police have not determined how Allred lost control of her vehicle, but they do say she was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She suffered blunt force trauma to her head, chest, and abdomen.

Anchorage, AKA 26-year-old Willow woman died in a rollover crash on the Parks Highway early Saturday morning, Alaska State Troopers said.
About 1:49 a.m., multiple people called troopers to report the crash, which occurred near mile 195 of the highway. A Cantwell-based trooper responded and found the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, who was identified as Brittany Hyatt of Willow, unresponsive.

Des Moines-Ames, IAThe Department of Natural Resources says a Des Moines woman was seriously injured when the all-terrain vehicle she was riding rolled over.
The DNR says the crash happened Sunday afternoon at Bluff Creek park southwest of Oskaloosa when 36-year-old Roberta Curry apparently hit a tree root, causing the four-wheel vehicle she was riding to turn sharply and roll over.
Curry was wearing a helmet, but it came off after the impact.
She was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Pittsburgh, PAA 6-year-old West Finley boy was killed Wednesday night when he was ejected from a Jeep on Interstate 70 in Buffalo Township, police said.
Dominic Rush was a passenger in a Jeep that lost control just east of the Taylorstown exit in Washington County at approximately 7:30 p.m., police said. The driver lost control, left the passing lane and traveled 342 feet in the median before the car rolled over on its roof.
Dominic was ejected and pinned under the Jeep. Witnesses lifted the Jeep and removed the boy, police said.
The driver was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital by a helicopter.

Albuquerque-Santa Fe, NMAn Albuquerque man was killed on Wednesday afternoon after his Ford Ranger had a tire blow-out and rolled over on Interstate 25 near the Santa Fe Downs race track.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, as Javier De-Larosa, 48.
The vehicle went out of control after the blow-out, rolled and became airborne and when it landed the roof collapsed killing the driver, the sheriff’s office said. De-Larosa was wearing a seat belt and neither speed or alcohol were a factor in the accident, authorities said.

Watertown, NYState police say one person from Canada is dead and four others are injured after their sport utility vehicle crashed and overturned on Interstate 81 in northern New York. Troopers tell local media that the SUV was headed north around 4 p.m. Sunday when it crashed, rolled over and came to rest in the median between exits 48 and 49 in the town of Pamelia, outside Watertown, 65 miles north of Syracuse. Officials say the crash killed one person and left four others injured, including two who were flown by helicopters to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

Tucson, AZA U.S. Border Patrol agent was killed and a second was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Benson on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred about 7:40 a.m., and tire-tread separation was a contributing factor, said Raúl Garcia, spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The vehicle was eastbound on Interstate 10 about eight miles east of Benson when the agents crashed, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA woman from Wauchula has died in an accident on Interstate 75 in Alachua County.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Linda Myrick, 63, and McArthur Myrick, 69, were traveling northbound on I-75, just past the 406 mile marker.
Another car went off the road and struck the front of the Myricks' 2005 Titan causing it to overturn.
Linda Myrick was thrown from the car. She was not wearing a seatbelt. She died from her injuries. McArthur Myrick was partially ejected and transported to UF Health in critical condition.

Houston, TXA 6-year-old boy was killed and his mother and 9-year-old sister were injured Sunday when their car flipped, landing upside down in a drainage ditch in east Harris County. Zulma Sevilla lost control of her black 1997 Toyota Corolla around 7:50 a.m. and crossed the center line in the 16200 block of De Zavalla in east Harris County. Her vehicle slid into the roadside ditch, hit a concrete retention area and flipped, accident investigators said. Carlos Chavez, 6, was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Boston, MAState Police say a passenger has died in a sport utility vehicle rollover and three others and the driver were injured.
Police say they responded to several calls of a single vehicle crash at 2:15 a.m. Sunday on I-95 near Canton. Affected parts of the highway were closed for about two hours.
An unidentified 45-year-old female passenger was declared dead at Norwood Hospital.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as 23-year-old Sakeena L. Tarpley of Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. She was hospitalized with a non-incapacitating injury.
