A jackknifed semi at the Interstate 405 split north of the Rose Quarter shut down all southbound lanes of Interstate 5 for several hours Tuesday morning.

The semi was removed at about 8 a.m., and the lanes were reopened by 8:30. Traffic was still stopped or slow all the way back the Marine Drive.
A spokesman said de-icing trucks had prepped the area overnight and he did not think weather was a factor in the 4:30 a.m. crash.
