An Oregon City woman died after she was ejected out of a friend's car that was turning onto a street in Gresham Wednesday night, police said. Peggy J. Jennen, 73, died at the scene just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Gresham Police Department. Investigators said her friend, Lisa A. Wilson, 52, of Troutdale, was driving drunk when she turned from westbound NW Division Street to southbound NW Bella Vista Place and Jennen fell out of the car.

Oklahoma City police said a crash that killed a father of four young children was caused by a man who was high on drugs. Oklahoma City police said Dustin Hall, 31, caused a crash Monday night near NE 10th and N. Standish. According to officers, Hall was high on drugs and admitted to looking down at his phone. Ronald Banton, 27, was killed in the crash. His 5-year-old son JaeRon was in the car with him but was not hurt. Hall was arrested and police said he could be charged with second-degree murder.

A man was arrested Monday after another man was killed in a northeast Oklahoma City traffic accident, police reported. Dustin Shane Hall, 31, was arrested on complaints of driving under the influence of drugs and causing a fatality accident and being without a state driver's license, police said. Ronald Banton, 27, was driving about 11:30 a.m. eastbound on NE 10 near Standish Avenue, when he stopped to turn left. Hall was driving behind Banton and looked down. When he looked back up, he crashed into Banton's car. Banton was taken to OU Medical Center, where he died.

A fatal pedestrian accident Sunday night along Haverhill Road has led to one arrest, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Investigators said that 47-year-old Robin Veras was crossing Haverhill Road near Haverhill Court and did not yield to a Toyota 4Runner heading southbound. Veras was struck and killed by the vehicle driven by Orlirio Valenzuela, according to PBSO. Deputies said that Valenzula did not contribute to the fatal wreck, however his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. Valenzula was arrested by PBSO on DUI charges.

A South Carolina dad is having trouble forgiving the drunk firefighter who nearly killed his 14-year-old daughter. Goose Creek police say 50-year-old Robert Semashko, a civilian firefighter, was out drinking with his wife on Sunday when he decided to get behind the wheel. He slammed into Ariana Arzon while she was walking home from a church event with her friends. But instead of staying to help, the trained first responder reportedly fled the scene.

Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Marion County where two people were killed and two others were injured. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers with the Marion post responded to the area of state Route 203 and Keener Road, at about 1:32 a.m. Sunday, on a report of a motor-vehicle crash.

A two-vehicle crash killed one person and injured two others on State Road 25 in Washington Parish. Authorities with Louisiana State Police said the crash happened just before 6 a.m. on S.R. 25 when a Ford F-150 pickup driven by Charles Toon, 35, of Foxworth, Miss., crossed the center line and hit a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado, Jonathan Bickham, 32, of Franklinton, was hit head-on and died of his injuries. He was wearing a seat belt. Investigators said Toon may have been drinking, and a blood sample was taken. Results are pending.

A man suspected of driving while drunk crossed into on-coming and crashed into a truck, killing his 3-year-old daughter and the other driver, the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office said Sunday. The crash occured about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Hendrick Street in Easthampton, authorities said. Mauricio Velasquez, 32, of Springfield, charged with motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence alcohol, and child endangerment, among other charges. He was being held Sunday on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Northampton.

Jennifer Duncan was driving a Smart Car with Kenneth Pelletier on Highway 441 when David Huckaba struck them with his Camaro in December 2013. Huckaba allegedly swerved into Duncan's lane, where he rear-ended her Smart Car before pushing the car into another lane, where it was struck by Matthew Schroader's Chevy Cavalier. Both Duncan, who was six months pregnant, and Pelletier died at the scene.

A day of merriment ended in tragedy over the weekend when a man dressed in a Santa suit was hit and killed on a busy interstate in Philadelphia. Adam Herr, 24, was walking along I-95 in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia when a passing car struck and killed the Lebanon, Pa. native. The victim's father, told the Daily News that his son was in the city for the annual Running of the Santa's Saturday. A friend filed a missing person report for Adam after he left the group he was eating dinner with after the race. It is unclear how Herr ended up on I-95.
