A fatal pedestrian accident Sunday night along Haverhill Road has led to one arrest, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
A fatal pedestrian accident Sunday night along Haverhill Road has led to one arrest, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Investigators said that 47-year-old Robin Veras was crossing Haverhill Road near Haverhill Court and did not yield to a Toyota 4Runner heading southbound. Veras was struck and killed by the vehicle driven by Orlirio Valenzuela, according to PBSO. Deputies said that Valenzula did not contribute to the fatal wreck, however his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. Valenzula was arrested by PBSO on DUI charges. He was booked into the Palm Beach County jail and then released. Deputies said the case remains under investigation.
