A pedestrian, a man in his 20s or 30s, has sustained serious, possibly life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run in Queens, New York Thursday morning. The incident occured around 1:30 a.m. at Queens Boulevard and 60th Street in Woodside. The pedestrian was crossing the intersection when he was hit by a dark SUV, which sped off onto westbound Queens Boulevard. Police are looking for this dark SUV, likely with front-end damage. The identity of the victim is not yet released.

The man was crossing the street on Northern Boulevard and 41st Avenue when a dark-colored Chevy Blazer hit him, police said. The driver fled west on Northern Boulevard after the accident, according to authorities. The man, who is in critical condition at Elmhurst General Hospital, has a head injury and a broken leg.
The first hit-and-run happened in Queens at around 4:30 a.m. when Enrique Clemente-Ovando, 29, of Elmhurst, was struck and killed about a mile from his home, according to cops. The driver fled the crash in a beige Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania plates, police said. Cops said the car was traveling east on Astoria Blvd. when it struck Clemente-Ovando, who was attempting to cross the road near 31st Ave.
