Teen impaled by guardrail following crash in Brandon

At about 2:30 a.m., Bradley Penny, 16, was driving a 1999 Honda Accord at 45 mph west on Bloomingdale Avenue, said Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokesman Larry McKinnon. For unknown reasons, Penny, of Brandon, drove off the road and hit a guardrail west of Bell Shoals Road. The rail pierced the front seat passenger, 15-year-old Carter Price, of Brandon, McKinnon said.

None of these articles mention the 3rd person that ran off and tried to get the driver to run off as well but the driver came back. I feel bad for this 15 yr old he sat there for about 20 mins with no one calling 911 until I happened to drive by and see it!!  I hope he makes it. If  anyone knows his status I would like to know. I was there the until they flew him out!

The child is alive but in bad shape. May need surgery. An exact update hasn't been available. Thank gosh the driver came back.

I've never saw this post before obviously consumed with my sons accident but I would love to know who called 911. My son Carter was the only one who went to Tampa General & has a traumatic brain injury.he's doing good struggles are every day for him. Thankful we have him thankful someone called 911.
