Brent Horsmann of Cocoa died in the 11:30 p.m. crash at U.S. 1 just south of Williams Point Boulevard, a short street north of Camp Road, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Horsmann was pedaling north on the west paved shoulder of U.S. 1 — against the flow of traffic — when a southbound vehicle struck him, troopers said.

After reviewing surveillance video Monday, Florida Highway Patrol troopers are now looking for the driver of a dark-colored pickup truck that was pulling a trailer.

The truck has four doors and a diamond-plated tool box in the flatbed.

He was/is my best friend. It is a shame the man whom hit him had no consequences even when leaving the scene of an accident! Absolutely ridiculous! I wonder if the guy thinks about taking Brent's Baseball cap and throwing it in back of his truck. Evidence tampering as well. Very sad.
