2 Montana tow truck operators die in interstate crash Sunday morning

An 18-year-old from Utah driving a pickup truck and hauling a travel trailer appears to have not seen the semi's brake lights, and attempted to go around the semi to avoid colliding with it, according to the MHP crash narrative.

Names of 2 tow truck drivers killed Sunday released

Visser and Allen were on foot working to recover a vehicle early Sunday morning near mile marker 414 on I-90 between Columbus and Park City when they were hit by a pickup truck towing a trailer.

Rims light display, procession, to honor tow truck operators killed in crash

The event will include a light display from first responder vehicles amassed on the Rims, and will be followed by a procession down North 27th Street that will go onto the interstate and end at 360 Office Solutions at Zoo Drive and Pierce Parkway.

Our hearts go out to all the family members and friends. As truck drivers we depend on these folks. We would rather be home warm and not on these roads making America run. So dangerous for all truckers and first responders. So sad the state of ingorance in our country. Rest in peace my friends we are so deeply saddened by the selfish entitled folks on the roads that just think we are a problem for them....thanks for your prior rescue....you are heroes
