Two dead after rollover crash in Port Orchard

Sidney Road SW is closed at SW Lider Road and SW Lakeway Boulevard. PORT ORCHARD, WA - A two car collision on the 9000 blk of Sidney Rd SW left two dead Sunday evening. Public Information Officer Jeff Faucett confirmed two people are dead and five other were taken to the hospital. Kitsap County Sheriff's Office is also on scene to assist the investigation. South Kitsap Fire and Rescue said the cause of the accident is under investigation.

Nicholas Allen Mauldin, 32, was the driver of the 2003 Infinity G-35 passenger car involved in the head-on collision. Mauldin was from Port Orchard. Jurelle B. Thorpe, 21, drove the 2001 Nissan Maxima, the other car in the accident. Thorpe was from Moses Lake.
