Police Release Identities Of 2 Women Killed In Ocean County Crash

Shorty before 3 p.m., a driver of a pick-up truck traveling south on the parkway cut into the path of a car also traveling southbound. The truck struck the driver’s side door of the car, causing both vehicles to lose control and veer off the road.

Victims of deadly Garden State Parkway crash identified as N.J. mother, daughter

The victims of a deadly crash on the Garden State Parkway Saturday have been identified as a South Jersey mother and her daughter.

New Jersey State Police say a two-vehicle crash on the southbound Garden State Parkway in Stafford Township on Saturday remains under investigation.

Shorty before 3 p.m., a driver of a pick-up truck traveling south on the parkway cut into the path of a car also traveling southbound. The truck struck the driver’s side door of the car, causing both vehicles to lose control and veer off the road.

Two adults in the car, both females, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 69-year-old Frances Hill and 45-year-old Naomi Johnson, both of Turnersville.

Two 14-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were admitted to Atlantic City Medical Center.

Four occupants of the pick-up truck were transported to Southern Ocean County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their identities have not been released.

I agree 100% with you Grace. Speeders DO cause accidents, harm others and DO KILL others or themselves (look at the recent deaths of the two teen boys (17 yrs of age) who are dead due to the speed of the driver !!!) With re to the deaths of Naomi and Frances, I would BET that the SPEED and 'above the law' driver in the pick up truck Absolutely is the culprit!!!! My son and I were in the traffic hoping that no one was hurt and if so, we prayed for whoever it was (either way we prayed as we felt something had gone terribly wrong) but if have to share that he and I both commented on a Ford blue pick up truck who was weaving in and out of traffic, speeding beyond belief, etc and we both said THAT truck is going to hurt someone! I was so angry at the way this Ford blue truck had been speeding, almost causing my own car to crash, that NOW we wonder IF THIS was the truck that KILLED Naomi and Frances and utterly and sadly changed the lives of their entire families!!!!!! UGH. There is noooo need to rush, text, speed and definitely no need to drink and than drive WHILE driving a moving vehicle. If you're running late, BE late! Don't hinder or tragically change the lives of so so many due to your inconsiderate decision ! DO NOT SPEED, EVER, as we all can see, and as we all KNOW, Speeding in a car KILLS !!!!!!!!! By the way, I too can not get this accident out of my mind and away from my heart, as it was (IS) such a senseless Killing !

I guess it does not really matter 2 women are gone. A husband has no more wife & a daughter lost her mom & Grandmom. A nephew is without his Aunt & Grandmom an amazing family is without a mom, sister, we are without our best friends

Her name is Naomi not Naoma. No one will know anything until police finish investigation. It was raining & roads were slick.

I still can't get this out of my mind and heart. Not that it matters, but this article says the pick-up truck cut in from of the Saturn. So sad that innocence people were killed. People driving in NJ take their lives in their own hands, when idiots are in such a hurry to get where they need to know. And for the driver of the pick-up truck to put HIS family in danger like that.

My Brother And I Were in Traffic For An Hour A Quarter Mile From The Accident. When Traffic Started Moving And We passed The Scene my Heart Sank When I Saw The White Sheets Covering The Two Deceased. I Just Started Praying For Them And The Family Members Who Were About To Receive The Worst News In Their Lives. We Were Headed To Atlantic City, But Our Weekend Was Very Somber, We Couldn't Get The Image Out Of Our Heads. Still Praying For This Family. My Heart Goes To Them.

I heard the car struck the truck! Authorities said a car driven in the right lane of the highway by Naoma Johnson, 45, apparently entered the center lane and struck a pickup truck. The collision sent both cars careening off the left side of the highway.
