Kristen Davies, 28, struck and killed by a truck, as she was crossing San Pedro street at night in Albuquerque.
Pedestrian was texting when hit.
Police identified a female pedestrian killed Wednesday night near Indian School and San Pedro NE, and they said she was reportedly texting as she walked into a busy street.
Kristen Davies, 28, was found dead at the scene around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after a truck hit her while she crossed San Pedro from east to west, police said.
Witnesses, including a second driver, said she was looking down at her phone while crossing the street. The truck’s driver, who was in the right lane, said that he saw a driver in the left lane slam on the brakes but that he struck the woman before he knew what was happening.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, police said.
