I live in Barnesville and was one of the first to come across this horrible accident. I have never been so scared nor felt so helpless in my life until this moment, very scary! I called 911 as I hurried over to the two people laying on the road one on the side/shoulder of the road face down in the grass the other in the middle of the West 94 exit/ramp and highway 9 out of Barnesville. I was praying to dear God to please help me because if it is bad I will not know what to do! Thankfully a family driving and following each other in two separate cars where the first to stop and two of whom were off duty firemen traveling from South Dakota and they were desperately trying to help the female victim. Seeing this scene and staying there until the couple was safely transported by life light and ambulance was something I will never forget! I can not describe the completely awful and hopeless feeling that plagues you when you see two people laying on the side of a road one face down not moving nor talking the other watching helplessly with a broken leg and other injuries unable to move as everyone does what they can to help his wife. My husband and I will be taking classes on knowing what to do in case either he or I come across something like this again and I recommend it to everyone! I also recommend that we put the phones down/away when driving please, please, please already people!!! Many, many thoughts and many more prayers to Mike and especially Angela they need them greatly! All three involved need them as their lives are all forever changed. They are all on a very hard road ahead. God Bless and again pay attention to your driving not your dang phones!

Erin, I was one of the two cars you mentioned that assisted at the crash scene. Me, my girlfriend and her son along with my daughter and her boyfriend Eric were traveling southbound to get to I-94 when we came across this scene. It looked as though it happened just 15-30 seconds earlier. As Eric and I jumped out of our vehicles my girl friend made a call also to 911 and they were able to lock on to her GPS signal for the exact location. Immediately thereafter, two others arrived on the scene and the four of us assisted Angela up through the transport. I was in the military for 28 years and had numerous annual trainings in CPR, Buddy Care, etc but you really don't know what to expect or how you will act. Afterwards I know I was both emotionally and physically exhausted. I'm so grateful that Eric, who is currently serving and is a fireman at Ellsworth AFB, SD along with the off-duty police officer and other gentleman (maybe your husband?) were there to do what we could to help them. Coming across something like this makes you truly appreciate all our first-responders that lay it on the line every single day to help people they don't know. Thank you for what you all do!

I am the niece of Angela and Micheal Pangelinan. Words can not express and grateful I am for you being there. Thank you so much. Knowing that my aunt had guardian angels watching over her. I will carry you in my heart always.
I've linked my Facebook. Please contact me. I know the rest of my family would like to know you.
And here is my email just incase.

Prayers of strength go out to Mike & Angie!! They are both in our Prayers!! As well the family and many friends! Thank you to those that stopped and helped them!! Your selfless act of kindness is appreciated, as I too am a 1st responder and fireman. Thanks for making a difference!

I am Angie and Mike's daughter. Words can not express how grateful I am for those who were there for my parents and for the kind words and outpouring of love. This has been very difficult especially because I now no longer have my mother. I know that she had many angels with her that day and I will forever be appreciative to those of you who were there and I know that seeing a scene like that was life changing. I am blessed to still have my father. My mom was a beautiful, loving and gentle soul. And yes, I agree with Erin. Please be mindful of not using your cellphones while driving, perhaps a tragic accident like this could be prevented. Sending lots of love to you all!
