One dead in crash south of Colfax

Sammuel B. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which occurred at the intersection of Highway 195 and Albion Road around 10:30 a.m., according to a news release. Thompson’s Toyota Camry collided head-on with a semi driven by 60-year-old Floyd P. Low after crossing the center line of the highway, according to the WSP.

Though Sammuel B. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene, Low was uninjured.

My heart breaks for Jim and Lisa. I know how much Sam meant to them. I cannot imagine the pain they must be going through and pray that God will help them through this. I will always remember the little blond 4 yr old who would come into the office with his mom to see his daddy. God be with you Jim, and all your family.
