Edgard Santos Gonzales, 25, died in a single-vehicle crash in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana

Edgard Santos Gonzales, 25, of Houma died in a single-vehicle crash in Jefferson Parish after his vehicle rolled into a drainage ditch on Louisiana 3134.  On May 18 the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the SUV and found submerged in the water. Gonzales was driving north on Louisiana 3134 near Louisiana 45 in Marrero around 4:30 p.m. when he lost control of his car. After the crash the car came to rest on its roof, partially submerged in water.  It is unknown whether the driver was impaired at the time of the accident.
