Springfield man killed in head-on crash with semi on I-55 near Elkhart

Claude B. Finn, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene, near mile marker 116, which is one mile north of the Elkhart exit in Logan County. Illinois State Police reported Finn was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo southbound on I-55 at 7:50 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, the car crossed the grass median and hit the semi in the far right northbound lane.

he was overworked, had no sleep and they pushed him to keep going.

They did this to him alot. He was such a good guy! Super sweet and loved what he did. May he rest in peace.

he worked for AHA...rumor is last transmission was he was quitting due to being overworked ...

the team lead was to lazy to go get a hplebotomy blood draw! threatened his job! after being on the clock way past the alotted hours! and was insisting he keep going after telling disptch he was to sleepy! dispatch contacted leads of phlebotomy and they pushed him and threatened his job if he did not go get additional blood draws!

He was a very hard working with an extremely caring heart . Did he job well and took pride in his job. Always had a smile and always kept going . I agree with some above comments .... He was tired as he told me many times but he had to keep going. Peace to his family that he left behind

all of the above is true. He was a very hard worker ways working overtime and he was up early mornings to do blood draws. He was an amazing guy. Whoever said it isn't true clearly doesn't know him or who he was working for...
