Tue, 04/21/2015At about 2:30 a.m. near Mile 271, a fuel tanker crashed and spilled at least 2,000 gallons of fuel. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is coordinating the clean-up effort. The driver has been identified as Robert Myers Jr., 31.

Sat, 04/11/2015A collision occured at the intersection of Parks Highway and Vine Road when Kelsey Brewer, 26, allegedly failed to stop for a red light and struck a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Kjera N. Maitland. Both cars sustained so much damage they had to be towed from the scene.

Sun, 04/05/2015A driver was killed when their vehicle left the roadway, crashing into some trees and catching fire. Fire fighters were able to put out the blaze, but not in time to save the driver. The accident is still under investigation.

Fri, 11/28/2014Shortly before 10:00pm, Simmons was driving a sedan on Parks Highway when the car lost traction on an icy patch and rolled over. Simmons and two passengers were wearing seat belts and sustained non-life threatening injuries, but Haynes, who was not wearing a seat belt, died as a result of the crash.

Mon, 11/24/2014Parks Highway is blocked at about the 103 mile mark near Peach Road after a head-on collision that resulted in an unknown amount of injuries. A LifeMed air ambulance responded to the scene to help the injured persons. How many people were involved and their identities have not yet been released.
