State Road 50

Wade Allen Varney, 57, was headed west on State Road 50 at around 5:10 p.m., when he failed to slow down for a school bus that had stopped at a railroad crossing in front of him. He slammed into the rear of the bus, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 20-year-old Orlando man riding a bicycle was struck by three vehicles and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The man, whose name has not been released, died after the crash, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. Friday on State Road 50 near Tanner Drive.
