U.S. Highway 15/501

Two men died following a three-vehicle collision Wednesday morning on U.S. Highway 15/501 near the Chatham-Lee county line. David William Riddle, 55, died Wednesday evening at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. He was a passenger in a Honda Civic that was rear-ended by a Buick.

A tanker truck and Toyota Camry crashed on a two-lane highway just outside of Carthage around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, seriously injuring the drivers of both vehicles.

An honor guard from Fort Bragg en route to Charlotte Friday morning was involved in a major crash near Laurinburg, the Highway Patrol confirmed Friday afternoon.
