Indictment: Driver was texting, under influence of a controlled substance in fatal Chilton County crash

A Jemison man was under the influence of a controlled substance and was texting when he crashed into another car on I-65 in Chilton County last year, leaving two people dead, according to an indictment filed this week.
Kevin Ray Ousley was under the influence of methadone and/or clonazepam and was writing, sending or reading a text message when the wreck that took two people's lives occured. Jackie Alan Faircloth died in the crash and the driver Patricia Faircloth McCain was hospitalized with serious injuries and later died. Ousley faces six charges in the crash: one count each of reckless murder, manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and driving under the influence, and two counts of vehicular homicide.
