Two killed in fiery crash on Alabama Highway 69 South; 2 hospitalized
Rollins said that a gray GMC Envoy was traveling south on Highway 69 and made impact with a red car while turning left. The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of the highway and Upper Hull Road.
Rollins said that the victims' vehicle burst into flames immediately. Traffic was re-routed for several hours after the crash.

The driver of the Dodge Charger, 38-year-old Derrick Maurice Lucy, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. His passenger, whose name hasn't been released, was also transported to DCH.

Lucy and a passenger were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa to have their injuries treated, but the GMC caught fire, causing fatal injuries to the driver and a passenger. The passenger was identified as Ascencion Marcelo Roque Jimenez, 36, of Moundville.
