A Jefferson County sheriff's deputy has died following an ATV crash last week. Deputy Brad Perry died at 5:50 a.m. Monday at UAB Hospital. He was injured Dec. 3 and never regained consciousness following the accident nearly a week ago.

Deputy Brad Perry was listed in critical condition at UAB Hospital Wednesday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesman. Perry is a youth services investigator in the Bessemer Cutoff.
He and a female deputy were off duty and riding an ATV on a mine road off Mud Creek Road when the ATV hit a hole or ditch and flipped, a Jefferson County sheriff's said. Perry suffered a head injury, and has not regained consciousness since the accident.
The female deputy was not hurt.
