One person is dead after a late night crash on Center Point Parkway in Huffman.

Birmingham police investigate fatal wreck on Center Point Parkway

Police are investigating a fatal wreck that happened Monday night on Center Point Parkway near 13th Avenue Northeast.

Man killed in wreck with 18-wheeler along Center Point Parkway in Birmingham

The wreck happened between 9 and 9:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Center Point Parkway, according to Birmingham police Lt. Scott Thurmond.
At around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Minnatka Way and Center Point Parkway, a car slammed into the back of the 18-wheeler, killilng the driver of the car. The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment. Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash.
