1 dead, 1 injured in Winston County wreck

Alabama State Troopers report that a 2003 Mazda Tribute collided with a 2004 Ford Explorer near the 195 mile marker about four miles north of Double Springs. The Mazda's driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers identified her as Melissa Linette Lyon, 53, of Double Springs. The Ford's driver was transported to Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
