Daniel Clayton King, 35, killed in head-on collision on Narrows Road in Pinson, Alabama

Authorities on Friday identified a man killed in a head-on collision on Narrows Road near Alabama 79 in Pinson Thursday night. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the man as Daniel Clayton King, 35, of Trussville. Authorities said King was driving east on Narrows Road around 7:16 p.m. when he crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head-on. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A woman who was driving the other vehicle and two small children who were in jump seats were not injured, said a Jefferson County sheriff's spokesman. The wreck happened about 300 feet from Alabama 79.
