Empire man dies after head on collision near Sipsey

A head on collision led to the death of an Empire man this morning. The crash happened on Pineywoods-Sipsey Road north of Sipsey at 7:25 a.m. Curtis Conley Cole, 51, was a passenger in a 1999 Ford F350 that hit a 2015 Dodge Ram head on. Cole was pronounced dead on the scene.

Please pray for my dad Raymond Johnson. He's fighting for his life right now. I'm 1000 miles away in Texas and feeling helpless. Rip uncle curtis cole

How is your dad doing Heather?  I am praying for him.  My husband is Curtis's first cousin and he is so upset about this loss.

He's ok considering what happened. He's stable but critical. All kinds of wires, multiple surgeries, up and down levels.
