Bessemer woman dies, two others injured after weekend crash

Two passengers in the vehicle were taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Valerie Hawkins of Bessemer, AL was found dead at the scene of a single car accident Saturday night after her Dodge Caravan left the road and struck a tree near mile marker 66 on I-59 near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Bessemer's 2 passengers were injured and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.
