The wreck shut down the interstate between exits 76 and 79 until around 9 a.m.
An 18-wheeler crash shut down I-20/59 near Tuscaloosa for hours late Sunday night through Monday morning after a tractor trailer went off I-20/59 northbound near exit 79. The vehicle crashed into a ditch and struck a tree around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday. The driver was not injured in the crash, but stated that he lost control when he was pulling a tooth with his hands.
