The driver of the car was killed, Dothan police say. The passenger of the car was transported to an unspecified hospital with life-threatening injuries.

College student returning to campus killed in Dothan traffic accident

The driver, McKenzie Amanda Catron, 19, of Arkansas was killed in the wreck, according to Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd. He said Catron attended University of Arkansas and was returning to campus after a trip to see family in Clearwater, Florida.

On Monday, a few days after the crash after an out pour of help on social media, Kai was found - in good health - by a volunteer. 

Sgt. Whaley and his family left for Bentonville, Arkansas on Monday to reunite Kai with Catron's family.
