Reports indicate Parker had hydrocodone and marijuana in his system at the time of the accident. He is in the Lauderdale County Detention Center on bail of $60,000.
40-year-old James Keith Green of Rogersville died at Athens-Limestone Hospital a short time after the accident, and 39-year-old Mannon Heath Rogers of Sheffield was taken by helicopter to Huntsville Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. A female cyclist was riding with Green and Rogers but was not injured.
