Department of Public Safety troopers received reports of a two-vehicle fatal collision on Interstate 40, at milepost 359 near Sanders, Arizona, headed east around 11 p.m. Saturday, department spokesperson Bart Graves said.

The car came to a stop in the middle of the road when it was hit by a semi-truck. The impact killed Valladares and Ingle was seriously hurt. She was airlifted to a Gallup hospital where she died.
