Woman dead, man seriously hurt after being rear-ended in southwest Valley
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the pickup truck driver didn't brake and rear-ended a four-door sedan that was stopped at the intersection of Jackrabbit Road and Yuma Street around 6 p.m.

The driver of the truck, 26-year-old Joseph David Knowles, reportedly told deputies that he was texting while driving.
