Authorities in northwestern Arizona say a man and woman from Golden Valley are hospitalized after a burro-related motorcycle accident in Bullhead City.

Bullhead City police say 61-year-old Kenneth Imthurn and 52-year-old Janna Imthurn both are listed in critical but stable condition at Las Vegas hospitals after Monday night's accident.

It's not immediately clear if they are a married couple.

Police were called about burros near Highway 68 about 7 p.m. Monday and an officer stopped to steer the burros off the road.

Kenneth Imthurn was driving the motorcycle and slowed to avoid the burro. But witnesses say the motorcycle was hit from behind by a vehicle and both riders were ejected.

Police say the 61-year-old driver of the car showed no sign of impairment and the accident is under investigation.

Comments

policeman called to the location of burrows crossing the highway did not make effort to stop traffic going east, instead the officer went up to the wild burrows to herd them away from the highway and neglected his primary duty of stopping traffic.

Prayers are with family. Sounds like the motorcyle did it's part. Why were they hit?
