The semi-truck driver was not injured. Anderson said the crash remains under investigation.
Thick fog and reduced visibility are the cause of a Wednesday morning collision that resulted in the deaths of a mother and daughter in Casa Grande, Arizona. A Pontiac sedan heading east at around 8 a.m. on Peters Road collided with the back of a Walmart semi-truck heading south on Thornton Road. The driver of the Pontiac, Leslie Wesley, 47, ran a stop sign that was invisible in the fog and collided with the semi-truck near a Walmart Distribution Center. Wesley and her daughter, Jenna, 13, were killed in the collision. Two other unidentified passengers, ages 14 and 17, were injured and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

We were great friends in middle school at cactus middle school. I had math class & english. Me & my best friend at the time Hailey, we became really good friends with Jenna. She was always laughing & trying to make everyone laugh & smile even when she would get in trouble for talking in class. Jenna was a beautiful young soul that shouldn’t have been taken away so early in her life, she had her whole life ahead her. Love you Jenna you’ll never be forgotten.
