2 dead in I-10 rollover near Casa Grande

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 reopened at State Route 387 Sunday morning following an accident that left several people dead. The names of the victims were being withheld pending notification of relatives. Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said when they arrived at the scene just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday, they found a vehicle that had left the roadway and rolled over. DPS later confirmed two people died in the accident.

Another child passenger was also ejected from the vehicle and later helicoptered to Phoenix Children’s Hospital with serious injuries. Pacheco and Avila were both pronounced dead at the scene.
