Authorities say two people are dead and six others injured after a van and a truck collided in Gila Bend on State Route 85 just south of Interstate 8.

Ceballos and Lopez were in a red Nissan Pathfinder with three other family members when a white Dodge pickup failed to negotiate a turn and veered into oncoming traffic, striking their car, according to Hegstrom.
