The crash closed the intersection at Elliot and McQueen roads for several hours. No other information was available. 

2 drivers dead after wreck at Gilbert intersection

Police said one car sped through a red light at McQueen and Elliot roads in Gilbert early Wednesday morning, killing the drivers of both cars.

Police identify 2 killed in Gilbert accident

Investigators said the driver of the SUV likely was driving at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
Gilbert law enforcement officers are investigating a collision that killed Dakota Fernandez, 22, and Justin Tharp, 34, at McQueen and Elliot roads early Wednesday morning.
