5 kids taken to hospital for checks after Kingman bus crash

Police says five students were taken to a Kingman hospital as a precaution after their school bus driver pulled out in front of a car and the bus was hit broadside. The accident Thursday morning happened after 21-year-old Cody Strawan of Kingman pulled the bus into traffic after stopping at a stop sign. The remaining students on the bus were released to their parents or guardians. Kingman police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki (Soh-chah-KEE') says the two women in the car suffered non-life threatening injuries mainly caused by their seat belts and deployment of their sedan's air bags. Sochocki says he was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

My daughter was on that bus when it happened. I didn't get a phone call and she surly wasn't released to me or her mother. It wasn't till after my daughter got home from school that we found this out! So tomorrow morning I will be going and having a talk with the principal and stopping by the bus barn.

That's not right my oldest daughter called me and I was there in minutes she and her sister had to be taken to the hospital you should have been notified immediately.
